The Gtour has teamed up with UK top 100 golf course Moor Allerton Golf Club a 2010 Gtour venue to let one lucky player and their golf buddy experiencing everything that Moor Allerton has to offer for free.
There must be a catch though surely? Well no not really all we ask is that following your day at Moor Allerton you send us a review of your day especially any of your top tips or inside info freshly gleened from the venue before the Gtour arrives on mass on the 24th April
The day at Moor Allerton will include
- 18 holes of golf for 2 peopl
- lunch
- A 2 hour short game lesson with Moor Allerton Golf Professional and Nike ambasador James Whitaker.
Set in a mighty 220 acres of undulating Yorkshire Countryside with streams and lakes to add a little spice, Moor Allerton is a picture-book golf course. Every hole presents its own particular challenge to both high and low handicappers.
A number of major national and international events have been played at the Club with many world class players having competed including Seve Ballesteros, Tom Weiskopf, Tony Jacklin, Gary Player and Greg Norman

2010 sees me take on the Head Professional role at Moor Allerton Golf Club.
After gaining my first degree from The University of Leeds, I qualified as a PGA Professional at The Belfry where I was the Manager of the PGA National Golf Academy. My PGA training there was an invaluable experience. As one would expect of such a prestigious venue, the training was cutting edge, thorough and comprehensive.
For the last two years I have been employed at De Vere Oulton Hall where I was the Manager of the Nike Golf Academy and Head Teaching Professional. During my time there, I was responsible for many improvements. We became the first Nike Golf Academy in Europe, the only PGA Trainee Examination Centre in the North of England and a leading centre for junior tuition.
Since working at The Belfry, I have been sponsored by Nike and am proud to be a Nike Ambassador. As an Ambassador, I have custom fitted Nike tour players and tested prototype equipment.
I have worked closely with the PGA for a number of years and am an Assessor for the PGA’s Director of Golf qualification. My role as an Assessor of this qualification has brought strong links with other PGA Professionals in the North Region who also wish to aim high and deliver quality golf.
I have recently featured in several national golf publications including Today’s Golfer and I have a monthly ‘Swing Shot’ feature in National Club Golfer, where I examine professional golfers’ techniques and suggest how the reader may lear

Quite Simply just answer the following 3 questions so we know who you are and then in no more than 100 words tell us about the best course youve ever played. Our favourite will be selected on March 15th with the winner being notified by email shortly afterwards
