Gtour & 3 Peaks
Gtour regular Jon Harris has found enough time in his busy schedule to run the three tallest peaks in the UK amongst other things, and is on his way has raising over £5,000 for charity.
To help John with his fundraising we will be holding a raffle at Belton woods, Mannings Heath and Carden Park with the draw taking place after the event at Carden Park. Please see here for full details on the raffle draw pizes
At 1344m Ben Nevis is the UK’s highest peak and the first of the challenges. The team will then be driven to Scafell Pike (978m) in the Lake District to ascend this peak through the night (around 2am), and finally to Wales for a “walk” up Snowdon at 1085m.
The team need to raise a total of £5000 sponsorship for the Anthony Nolan Trust and I would be grateful for any pledges of sponsorship, no matter how small. A pound a peak will do; it all adds up!!
We have had / are also organising all kinds of fundraising events such as car boot sales, quiz nights, fashion shows, discos, and I had my head shaved. Check out our website for details on past and future events www.fenland3peaks.webs.com
If you would like to give a donation, no matter how big or small to the team you can do this by using the link to The Anthony Nolan Trust official website donations page below. All donations are very much appreciated and will go toward the £5000 we hope to raise. www.justgiving.com/FenlandNo-Hillbillies
The Anthony Nolan Trust was set up in 1974 by Shirley Nolan in order to help find a bone marrow donor for her son, Anthony. Sadly he died before a donor was found. Shirley Nolan went on to create the world's first ever bone marrow register, providing a chance to those in need of a transplant. Without the fundraising this life saving register could not exist.
